Greek Language Lessons

Our Greek Language classes are open to both children and adults who want to learn how to read, write and converse in Modern Greek. Classes are held during the school year on Tuesday evenings at the church and cost $15 per month per person plus a nominal charge for books. We have beginner, intermediate and advanced classes. Each year the students read patriotic poems during the March 25 celebration of Greek Independence Day.  Contact Faye Stamitelos for more information.

The mission of the Greek Education and Culture Committee of the Atlanta Metropolis is the preservation and promotion of the Greek Language; the Language of the Bible, Greek Orthodoxy and the Fathers of the Greek Orthodox Church; the language of our ancestors; the richest language and mother of all other languages in the world. Together with the preservation and promotion of the Greek language, the Committee's mission is the promotion of the great Greek Civilization, the glorious Greek History and Traditions, holy heritage and unsurpassed values for the generations of today and tomorrow.

Classes are not held during the summer months.
